​Melissa! Oh my goodness where do I start.
From the first time we spoke Melissa made me feel so comfortable. A wedding isn’t something most people have any experience in planning, so it can be so daunting.
I had my first makeup trial and although it was beautiful, it didn’t feel just like me. Melissa was so up for communicating with me about what could be tweaked and booked me in for a second trial so I knew I didn’t need to be anxious on the day.
Not only did Melissa make me feel at ease… I had two mothers and six bridesmaids too!
Melissa arranged two assistants who were equally as incredible, sorted our timetables, and ensured the morning ran like a military operation.
Not only an incredibly talented artist, Melissa is also a genuinely lovely human, and I am so grateful that I found her.

​​Melissa was the wonderful HMU artist for my wedding back in early November and I cannot sing her praises highly enough! She did the hair and make up for myself, my three bridesmaids and my mum and they all looked absolutely amazing. She made us all feel super comfortable, relaxed, and just beautiful.

To give a view on how amazing she is - I woke up on the morning of my wedding with my first ever coldsore and I swear it covered my entire top lip - Melissa totally took it in her stride and covered it so so well. You literally couldn’t tell I had a coldsore! My make up and hairstyle lasted all day and all night long and I felt amazing all the way until 4am when the celebrations stopped. Highly highly recommend!

I cannot say thank you enough to Melissa. I spent ages trying to find the right person and look/feel for my hair and makeup and felt pretty lost during the process. It wasn't until I found Melissa that I felt confident with my choice. I had actually seen her work without realizing it and saved it - so when I found her it was as if the stars had aligned! Melissa is so kind, welcoming and knowledgeable as well as extremely talented!!

I don't wear much make-up normally but wanted something special for the wedding. She knew just what to do! I showed her my ideas and she talked me through all the best options as well as gave tips and tricks for the day - which I'd otherwise never have known! Having the trial was so nice to see how she brought my vision to life and just getting to work with her. I couldn't believe how much like me I looked, but elevated - in a really natural way. All day long I kept catching glimpses of myself and thinking "I look so pretty" which is a big deal for me!

Then the morning of the big day she arrived early and was ready to go! She did an amazing job doing my friend's hair and my mum's make-up (who was very nervous). Both of them felt so good after working with Melissa and they looked great! When it was my turn to get ready she was warm and calm and kept the mood light and fun. I love how my make-up turned out (and I got so many compliments!). She made me feel like me and feel truly beautiful, which I cannot thank her enough for. That meant more to me than she can know :)

I would highly recommend Melissa - she is so very talented and she is so kind. Thank you for making me look and feel absolutely amazing.

I cannot begin to describe how fantastic Melissa was on the morning of my wedding, doing hair and makeup for myself, 4 bridesmaids and my mum. She worked with Anna, and together they were a truly brilliant team.

​Where do I even start! Melissa, throughout the whole process of doing my wedding hair and makeup, conducted herself with such professionalism, but most importantly, was the most friendly, lovely lady and made me feel so at ease!

Melissa did my bridal hair and makeup and the hair and makeup for my 2 bridesmaids and mother and what can I say other than WOW.

Not only only does Melissa have amazing talent for hair and makeup, she's also the most friendly woman to have as part of your getting ready process.

She was knowledgeable, understanding of everyone different needs and an absolute pleasure to be with on the morning of my wedding.

Nothing I asked for was an issue, even when I changed how I wanted my hair after our trial together. She was understanding when I said I'd prefer to do my own eyelashes and lips for the day and made sure the rest of my makeup tied into this.

My bridesmaids and mother also couldn't speak highly enough of Melissa and we all agree that if we ever need hair and makeup done for a wedding again, she will be the first person we'd call.

I hired Melissa to do my hair and makeup for me, my mum and my bridesmaid for my wedding day. On both the trial and the day itself, she was so friendly and made us all feel so comfortable. She was such a help to us on the day - even helping to pin my dad’s buttonhole before we left. Our make up looked beautiful - we wanted our make up to look like it had been professionally done, but still natural and not too glam. There are no words to fully capture how beautiful I felt on my wedding day, thanks to the incredible make-up by Melissa. Melissa was a lifesaver and came to my rescue weeks before my wedding when my previous stylist was unable to do it anymore. Because of the timeline, we weren’t able to meet for a trial beforehand but that didn’t matter. Melissa took the time to still get to know me via email, learn about my vision for the wedding day and understand my day to day style. Upon arrival, she was kind and engaging. We had a few issues with electricity at the hotel which impacted our schedule slightly—she was so flexible and accommodating and joined us in laughing about the challenges. Even with the factors outside our control, she did such a beautiful job with my make-up. She also listened to the requests of my sisters and Mom, making everyone in the party feel our very best. We glowed all day! There were lots of tears, laughter, and joy experienced throughout the day, with our make-up looking just as good at the end of the night as it did at the start. I highly recommend Melissa and will be forever grateful for the role she played in making my day so special.

I could not have been happier with Melissa and the service she provided on my wedding day. She did my bridal hair and make up as well as the hair for my three bridesmaids.

On the day of the wedding day she arrived on time and provided a clear schedule for the morning to make sure I was not late for the church. She is very easy to chat to and fit in perfectly at my parents home as we spent a relaxing morning preparing for the wedding. Each of my bridesmaids was very happy with their hair and said that it made the occasion feel even more special.

Melissa was also great at communicating during the whole process. She was very understanding and flexible with me adding things to the order and only initially depositing on what I definitely knew I wanted. The trial was very useful. I was not sure whether to have bridal make up but Melissa was very reassuring and did not try to upsell this. After the trial I felt very confident and decided to proceed with the make up as well as the hair, as Melissa had provided a very natural look.

I felt fantastic on my big day and my hair and make up did not falter. I would highly recommend working with Melissa for your big day!

Melissa was everything I could have wished for as my hair and makeup artist for my wedding. When we met at the trial I knew instantly we’d get on and she made me feel totally at ease and I had total confidence in sharing what look I was going for as well as giving her own advice and making it all a reality. This translated to the morning of my wedding when (despite terrible planning on my part, sorry!) there were issues with parking- she was totally unflappable and just so lovely and fun, along with the bridesmaids we had a great time. Melissa was absolutely amazing, from the trial right up until the moment she retouched my lipstick for the final time before I got in the car to leave. I cannot recommend her enough, it was like having another friend over as she made me feel so calm and relaxed and went above and beyond helping with other bits like getting our photos and hiding my dress. Melissa was so professional, she was set up and ready to go first thing and had everything organised. Melissa also never once minded me messaging her asking questions or exchanging ideas. My hair and makeup was flawless and still looked flawless 14 hours later, despite all the happy tears and dancing. My bridesmaids also looked incredible, we all felt like princesses and definitely felt we were treated as princesses. Melissa was amazing from the very start. A total pro! She was super lovely and helpful when we communicated all of our wedding parties requests for hairstyles and makeup for the wedding day.
